Please note the strawberry lemon flavor is very mild and is more herbal tasting than our other blends! This blend does best sitting overnight cold infused in the fridge or at room temperature to give the marshmallow root time to create the substance (mucilage) that clears that throat congestion and post nasal drip. Often we fill a large water bottle the night before and let a couple tea bags sit overnight, then drink it throughout the day. Tastes best with fresh lemon slices or even a shot of MIO or other lemonade drink additive for a strawberry lemonade effect.

About Us

Tea runs in our family, as we ran one of the first apothecaries on the corner where Moody's Gifts now sits , directly across from the Hawthorne Hotel! Our family included botanists, doctors, servicemen and healers who served Salem since 1628.

Sally Ballou was a key figure in Salem’s tea culture during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She managed the historic East India Inn & Tea House, a gathering place for travelers and locals alike, where she served fine teas and refreshments. Later, she became the first employee of the House of the Seven Gables tea house, continuing Salem’s long-standing connection to tea and trade. Her dedication to hospitality and the art of tea service left a lasting mark on the city’s history, an inspiration for this special blend. We hope it warms you on a cool night and prepares you for flu season!
